CARTEL Coffee Lab is my favorite coffee shop in the world. There are 4 locations in Central Arizona, and I have visited 2 on the regular basis. During the summer of 2012 I lived in Tempe and CARTEL was just around the corner from my house. This is when I first discovered the coffee shop.
You can expect to see students from the nearby Arizona State University doing their homework here. The environment is very relaxed inside. The walls are decorated with cool art pieces. I usually order an Iced Toddy at CARTEL since it’s summer for the most part of the year in Arizona. On some rare occasions I will order a cappuccino, and if I’m getting ready to party in Old Town Scottsdale, then it’s an espresso for sure! Whatever you order will be made to perfection so you can’t go wrong at Cartel.
The Scottsdale location is a little bit more quiet so it’s a perfect place for a book reading and people watching.
Why do I love this place? Because the coffee is absolutely to die for here, the baristas are amazing. The place is relaxing and down to earth. The music is soothing and intriguing and the vibe is great. If you happen to be around, stop by and see for yourself why it rocks.
