My mum and dad’s state! Mum is from North Kerala (mountain range) and dad is from the south (beaches). Every school year, I used to spend my summer breaks in both places, roughly a month each. So much joy. So many memories. I haven’t been to Kerala since I graduated in 2011. I am planning to go sometime in December! ๐

That is awesome, which do you prefer? Or are they both special in their own ways? I’m sure you will have an amazing trip ๐

I loved both places as a kid. Travelling to the north of Kerala from the state I stay in takes me through a forest; so there is the thrill of spotting wildlife, especially elephants (I love elephants!). Plus we stay in a rubber plantation there so there are no other houses around. Itโs like paradise for yourself as far as the eye can see ๐
Down south, its white sand everywhere. My grandparent’s house is close to the sea so it is like living by the beach. Itโs just beautiful.
I think now that I have lived in a city by the sea of two years, I am more of a beach person ๐ ๏
