My beautiful friend Lisa from California, who was spending the summer in London with her family, was responsible for finding this awesome Wine Tasting event for us. Because we are serious wine worshipers, we went with the most expensive package, in which case you get the second ticket half off. So the idea is that you put money on your Vinopolis wine card and then you go to the wine ATMs and withdraw the wine goodness straight into your wine glass. Bellow is a photo of what the card looks like.
First, we had a brief introduction lecture on wine and then we were set free to taste.
Some of my favorite wines were in fact dessert wines. It was here that I discovered Port for the first time and it was love at first taste. I spent a lot of my wine credits here 🙂
At some point, our wine credit ran out and we topped up for some more. After the wine, we went on to some other fun things like Absinthe, my first taste of this as well. The Absinthe we tried was from Switzerland and France. After the absinthe we had the most amazing spicy Bloody Marry we have ever had, and this was a repeat glass as well!
At the end, when you finish your wine tasting you can purchase pretty much anything that you loved and enjoyed, as well as any other drink you desire to take home with you.
