Comino is a small island of the Maltese archipelago situated between the islands of Gozo and Malta in the Mediterranean Sea measuring just 3.5 square kilometres in area. This little paradise island is a perfect escape spot as it only has 5 residents, no cars and one resort: Hotel Comino.
The Blue Lagoon (pictured above) is the most popular attraction on the island and it is often described as a large natural swimming pool with the most pristine crystal blue waters. The underwater caves are perfect for snorkelers and divers to explore. To better understand Comino and it’s landscape, a hike around the island is recommended. Comino would be a good place to visit during winter months for photographers and writers as the winters here are mild. Getting there is easy, you can catch a boat or a ferry from either Malta or Gozo. For more fun and adventure you can kayak to the island from the shores of Malta or Gozo.
