Guaba Red Sunday w/ Matisse & Sadko & YVES V

Last Saturday during my mini work break I received a notification that I won a VIG package from Guaba Beach Bar – that’s a sofa & a bottle of Guaba Nectar for me & 8 people. I was so excited especially since I had the Sunday off & was planning to head over there for their amazing Red Sunday DJ line-up. This was my first ever DJ show at Guaba Beach Bar which is by the way the #13 Best Club in the World. The rule was everyone wears RED otherwise you aren’t allowed in. The highlights of the line-up were Matisse & Sadko & of course the amazing YVES V. The place quickly flooded with people in red & the music & the atmosphere kept on getting better and better. Below are photos from this amazing event.

Greetings from sunny Cyprus

Hello Sunshine Lovers 🙂 Here’s a little update on what’s going on in my neck of the woods. Last weekend I visited #63 from the 100 Places to see in Europe before you Die list and I’m posting a few photos bellow. This beautiful beach is located on the East side of the island and it’s my favourite beach here so far. There are still plenty of beaches to explore and I cannot wait to see them all. The most beautiful ones are located on the East and West sides of the island. Nissi Beach Usually there’s a sand path here connecting the beach to the island which you can cross, but today it was covered with water How beautiful is this water? 🙂 View from the little island The island is covered in very interesting rocky terrain as well as some wild plants and flowers This is the Cliff diving spot which is pretty awesome. I didn’t jump as I had my camera with me, but on my next visit, I’m totally jumping from there …

Vinopolis, London – Wine Lover’s Paradise

My beautiful friend Lisa from California, who was spending the summer in London with her family, was responsible for finding this awesome Wine Tasting event for us. Because we are serious wine worshipers, we went with the most expensive package, in which case you get the second ticket half off. So the idea is that you put money on your Vinopolis wine card and then you go to the wine ATMs and withdraw the wine goodness straight into your wine glass. Bellow is a photo of what the card looks like. First, we had a brief introduction lecture on wine and then we were set free to taste. Some of my favorite wines were in fact dessert wines. It was here that I discovered Port for the first time and it was love at first taste. I spent a lot of my wine credits here 🙂 At some point, our wine credit ran out and we topped up for some more. After the wine, we went on to some other fun things like Absinthe, my first taste of this as well. The Absinthe we …

Chocolate Week at Colors Café, Four Seasons

Chocolate Sculpture at Colors Café, above View from the terrace patio Special Chocolate Week Menu Opera I’ve never had an Opera before. This one was superb! The almond cake was very tasty and smooth, the dark chocolate ganache was delicious, not bitter and perfectly balanced with the raspberry filling. Nothing was too sweet, and the balance between the 3 had perfect harmony. I highly recommend this one. Paris Brest Never had this before either. Pistachio profiteroles with dark rich chocolate cake. The profiteroles were excellent, but the cake was a bit too rich for my liking. The balance between the 2 wasn’t complimentary. If you enjoy very rich chocolate cakes, then you will like this. Colors Café is known for their specialty desserts. I am definitely visiting this place again.

Brick Lane Sundays

Early history The Truman Markets originally developed in the 17th century as a lone farmers’ market that was held on Sundays due to religious observances by the area’s then-prolific Jewish community. During the 20th century, the Brick Lane area experienced an influx of Bangladeshi immigrants who transformed the marketplace. Even today, Brick Lane is very famous for its curry houses.
