International Short Film Festival of Cyprus

My favorite competing movies from last night were: Butter Lamp, Hu Wei (China, France) 16 min Notes on Blindness, Peter Middleton, James Spinney (USA, UK, Australia) 13 min Not Now, Myrsini Aristidou (Cyprus, USA) 8 min I couldn’t find the trailer or the movie for this one. International Short Film Festival of Cyprus

Last night I attended the 2nd night of the film screenings, and I really enjoyed myself yet again. Here are the 2 short films from Night 1 and Night 2 that I enjoyed that are not in the competition. Castello Cavalcanti by Wes Anderson (USA/Italy) 8 min Nashorn im Galopp by Erik Schmitt (Germany) 15 min I couldn’t find the full movie, but if you do please let me know as I loved this movie!

International Short Film Festival of Cyprus

Last night I went to the opening of the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus. It’s a 1 week event and I will be blogging every night on my favorite movies. Last night my favorites were from Brazil: Meu Amigo Nietzsche (My friend Nietzsche) Unfortunately, I did not find a subtitled full movie for this one, so if you do please let me know. Another favorite was Slomo: The Man Who Skated Right Off the Grid from USA. As a person that is deeply passionate about Travel, I start to think about these different cultures and lands and the people when I’m viewing these films. I thought about Brazil when viewing the movie from Brazil. I thought about my future trip to Brazil. The beautiful Portuguese language, the friendly people with big smiles and even bigger hearts. When I was watching the USA film I thought about California and my past trip to California. I was reminded of that laidback beach lifestyle and those extremely friendly and approachable people that live there. California is an amazing state, …
