Second Day in Rome: Spanish Steps & Piazza di Spagna
After the Trevi Fountain we headed for the Spanish Steps which are located at the center of Piazza di Spagna. The beautiful church, Trinità dei Monti, rising above the famous steps was also under construction, but unlike the Trevi Fountain, this doesn’t make such a huge difference when visiting. This area is absolutely beautiful, and if you came to Rome for some serious retail therapy then this is the right place for you. You can reach the Spanish Steps with the metro by using the “orange line” which will have you arrive right inside the Piazza di Spagna. I also suggest climbing the steps to the very top, as the view from above is very rewarding. If you love high fashion and if you love Valentino, then this store that’s about to open is most definitely the one to visit. It’s absolutely huge!
