Travel Journal: Spectacular Gluten Free Tiramisu in Rome

New Day, New Dessert After ordering a gluten free pizza for breakfast, I noticed 2 beautifully freshed prepared tiramisus in the dispaly window and I ordered a slice before my breakfast pizza arrived. It was so good! The tiramisu had a light and fluffy texture and it was absolutely delicious! I’ve had tiramisu in a few different countries, but there’s nothing like enjoying an Italian dessert in the country of its origin. If you get a chance, you have to try freshly made tiramisu in Italy, it’s the best! 🙂 Restaurant: Mama! Mini Porto Photo Post from today

…Another rainy day in Porto. The good news is that this is the last day of rain and it’s all sunshine from here on out. Today I walked around this cute little area not too far away from my apartment, took some photos there. Then I used little backstreets to slowly descent down to the Ribeira, Porto’s famous Riverfront. I decided to cross the Dom LuĂs bridge, from the lower pedestrian level this time, and walked along Vila Nova de Gaia riverfront (the city across the Douro river). I took some photos of Ribeira from across the river. The weather and all the walking from yesterday got me a bit sleepy, so after about 3 hours of walking I decided to call it a day. Since I have already topped up my Andante card, I took the bus back home. All the walking got me petty hungry so I went back to BB Gourmet which is directly across my apt building and I picked up their Octopus Rice dish to heat up at home and a rich Flourless Chocolate dessert. This is also what …

First Day in Rome: A Trastevere Post

After our Airbnb host introduction it was close to 4pm and we only had food on our minds. We decided to have our late lunch at Mama! Eat since it was nearby. This was one of the Gluten Free restaurants in Rome that I really wanted to try out. I didn’t realize just how close it was from our apartment until we tested out the route. From our apartment, we headed toward Piazza di Santa Maria. At the end of our street we made a Left turn and the famous Piazza was in front of us. The fountain in the center of the piazza was to our right as we approached it, and after we passed the fountain while still remaining inside the Piazza, we took Via di San Cosimato which is the road the restaurant is located on. Mama Eat is located at the very beginning of that street so the walk was very short, a total of about 5 minutes from our apartment. The restaurant wasn’t very busy during this time of the afternoon. Only a couple of tables were …
